Strawberries Romanov

  • 1 quart strawberries
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons kirsch or orange flavored liqueur
  • 1 cup chilled whipping cream

Cut strawberries in halves, reserving 6 whole strawberries for garnish. In medium bowl, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and kirsch; stir gently. Cover and refrigerate at least two hours. Just before serving, beat whipping cream in chilled bowl until soft peaks form. Fold in strawberries. Garnish with reserved strawberries.

Yield: 6 servings
